This version includes background music from John Pazdan and voice snippets from researchers working at the centre.

It was prepared as a background DVD for a stall at a conference.

REMIX - Travers Video Challenge

Tounge in cheek REMIX of John Travers original 'Grassroots video challenge' issued as part of the edna.tv project. AIM is to show that video can be produced without any form of camera (not even still camera on tripod) - by downloading editable video and editing with simple software such as iMovie or windows movie maker.

I must admit that I used FinalCut to do the fancy special effect at the start.

On reflection it is difficult not to obsess when making mashups or doing remix. I probably spent in excess of 8 hours on the one minute video. (as opposed to my flip video example 'being drunk' which was less than 30 mins total effort.

UncleMike Newton Dream Sailing Munge Movie

An historic piece of digital video from the (very) early 1990's - by the Munge Brothers (Mike Seyfang, Nick Hodge, Paul Baily). Inspired by John Sculley's 'Knowledge Navigator' video, his spiel that the Internet would be as big as the printing press and armed with some early Apple Newton promo footage the Munge brothers took to the streets of Adelaide and waters of Victor Harbor.

Its kinda funny that more than 15years later Mike is working at home on his Mac in semi-retirement and UncleNick has just posted his first video work for his new employer Microsoft as part of on10.net.

Funny the cycles of life eh!
